My partner and I chose prezi because we didn't know a lot about it but had heard good things about it. I think high schoolers for sure and maybe even 8th graders could use prezi. Once we started experimenting with things on prezi I really started to like it. It's different from what you normally see, google presentation, and the transitions keep you engaged. I would change how you can't move the circles or what is holding your text so that you could move them into your own unique order.

We chose google presentation for our interview information because we thought it would present it well. I think google presentation is appropriate for middle and high school students. It is very easy to use and gets the information across in the most simple way. A lot of high school and middle school students use google presentation for this reason. I like using google presentation because I am familiar with it and it is easy to use. I really like how prezi has transitions to get to the next slide and I think if google presentation had more options like that it would make it a more creative platform to use.

Both prezi and google presentation are great options to use as your platform. If you are looking for a more creative look, I would definitely use prezi because there are so many options to choose from. You can customize the background, the slides, insert symbols, and so much more. If you are looking for a fast and simple way to get the information across, then I would use google presentation. You are still able to change the background and colors of things and it is a great platform for class presentations.

Presentations

I do not really need to learn anything about google presentations. I have done plenty in almost all of my classes. Some positives about them is that they're extremely simple. You have a slide, you can write on it, add pictures, etc. It is a fast and easy way to make a presentation with a lot of information to get across. Some negatives would be that it's not a video that you can share easily. For others to see it, you have to share the whole thing and it's not in the presentation format but the edit format. It would be really nice if you could create the presentation and share it with others just to view.

I have used prezi a few times but I don't know much about it. I would like to see how much you can actually do on prezi that you might not be able to do on google presentations. Some positives about prezi is that you can import google images or videos off of youtube, much like the google presentations, but you get to choose from a big library full of 3-D designs. The transitions it has are very cool and will help you keep peoples attention. Some negatives would be that they are only as long as the template allows. So check the template you choose before filling in all your information, this way you'll know if there is enough room or not.

Why Twitter is the Best Social Media

I think twitter is the best social media because it has so much to offer. There are so many people out there that you can follow, it's incredible. Think about all of the time and effort involved in making this website and allowing so many people to be apart of it. Celebrities have it, adults, kids, grandparents etc. It is a website for all to use unlike Facebook which is a little more complicated. You have the options on twitter to be private, and accept follow requests, or to let anyone who chooses to, follow you. There are people with millions and millions of tweets. That's the cool thing about twitter, you can post whatever you want and people won't even know what you're talking about. It's a place for random ideas and opinions to be expressed.

Twitter is not only tweeting, but posting pictures, links, videos, for all of your followers to see. You can also design your profile however you want. Choose a avatar picture, cover photo, background, and more. Personally, I enjoy twitter much more than Facebook and other social media websites. It helps you get to know people better. For example, say you have a really quiet girl in one of your classes and she sort of keeps to herself. You then check out her twitter and see that she really does have an opinion on things and is quite talkative. Although things can be misread or miscomprehended, as can anything online, I do believe that twitter is the best social media website.

Before:

After:

I chose a panda because they're my favorite animal and I thought I could experiment with the photoshop pretty well on this picture.  There isn't too much going on in it and it's pretty simple.
I autocorrected the picture and then changed the saturation on it. I also used the highlight, sharpen, and soft focus effects. The last thing I did was change the hue which put a little color into it.

Personally, I like using the chrome books. I think they are very convenient and I am constantly using it to get my homework done. I feel like they're a good size for us. They're extremely easy to use and we always have them on us to use. It sounds like they weren't too costly, so I think it was a good thing for our school to tryout.

I do, though, often use my smart phone at home to do my homework. They have apps (dictionary, translate, etc) that help a lot. It is small and can pull up anything very quickly. I'm on my phone most of the night so using it for homework is nice. In my opinion, I think smart phones are very easy to use. They are a little pricey because you have to pay for internet but I think it's worth it.

I do not really enjoy using the ipads to do my homework. Things don't work as well and I feel like it is harder and takes longer to get homework done. You can access documents on google docs but you can't edit them. The look is nice because its a lot bigger than a smart phone, but you can't use it without internet like a smart phone. Unlike the ipad, you can use your phone and chrome book (google docs) with out internet. Ipads are pretty easy to use, but are kind of pricey as well.

A kindle fire is very convenient to do homework on, although you probably won't do much homework. You can watch movies, read books, and many other things. You can get on the internet and access things for homework as well. Personally, I wouldn't use it for homework, though, because I would get sidetracked very quickly.

Combine
The app I'm inventing is called Combine. It will cost $0.99 to download but will be well worth it. The purpose of this app is to combine all the social media websites you use. For example, you will be able to read tweets from this app, as well as see instagram posts, vines, etc. This way, you can see all of the things you check everyday on one app. I think mostly teenagers would use this app because they're the ones using these social media sites such as instagram and twitter. I think they will like how everything is combined onto one app so they can see everything together.

Anyone with a social media account can use this app. I think it will be very convenient to all. I know after school, I always check three different apps. But by having this app, I will only have to check one. I will still get to see everything as if I were to check all three. Lets say, for example, that you only have twitter but you follow people who have instagram. You are still able to see their instagram posts even though you do not have instagram. This app doesn't just have to be for teenagers either, your parents might like it as well.
